We have added a Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) which allows us to extend the period of observation and treatment for patients seeking emergency care. In addition to treating traditional illnesses, this unit will cater to the unique needs of our frail geriatric patients. The transformation that is occurring at Glen Cove Hospital is consistent with the transformation of health care delivery models occurring across the country.
The existing and new clinical programs to be offered at Glen Cove Hospital and in the community will enable the hospital to continue to care for local residents at their most critical time of need, while also managing the health and wellness of individuals in outpatient settings.
